Boy Scouts Honor Life University Founder

  • February 4, 2011

Dr. Sid E. Williams, founder and retired president of Life University, was recently awarded the Fifty Year Membership Certificate by the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

As a Boy Scout, Williams achieved the rank of Eagle Scout as well as the bronze and silver palms. While president of Life University, he sponsored a local troop of the Boy Scouts and allowed them use of the campus for meetings and the rugby field for outdoor events.

Williams also served as a member-at-large for the Atlanta council and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for his life-long contributions. He is currently a member of the council's executive board.
