Sprayberry High School freshman Lidiane Carmo, 15, who is still hospitalized in Florida after the Florida interstate pileup that killed her father, mother and sister Leticia, is struggling to recover from injuries.
Lisa Black Lehman, who graduated Sprayberry in 1992 and is a Facebook friend of Lidiane's, has asked that her plea for prayer be spread far and wide in an effort to help Lidiane regain her health.
Carmo posted on Facebook this morning: "I know you guys are praying, but please pray some more. I'm having some setbacks that I need prayer and God's hand to get me through, so please pray and get others to pray as well."
According to Facebook comments, a second surgery was performed on Lidiane's arm last week. Hospital officials have not confirmed reports that she could lose the arm.

I cannot imagine Lidiane's suffering, struggles and fears. During moments she feels alone and uncertain, I hope she thinks of us praying for her and feels comfort.

Thanks y'all for spreading the word. The parents and students here at Sprayberry love Lidiane. Because of the Carmo family, the school and the community are a better place. I'm so proud of the students for how much they have stepped up and started doing things to raise money for them. Within 2 days they were selling bracelets ribbons t-shirts and having bake sales. They inspired the community to follow their lead.
STAY STRONG LIDIANE... We are behind you supporting you ALL the way. Praying and spreading prayer request. Your dad mom and Leticia are watching you from above. Your strength I'm sure is making them all proud of their baby girl!

lidiane my prayers are with you every day im going threw a very bad time myself i lost one of my family members two days ago and i know whats its like to go threw pain been there myself just remember that god is there right at your side ready for you to talk to him and also his legions of angels are right there watching over you and your family and Leticia is your angels right now and there protecting you so keep building your faith and god will do great things in life there is some songs that will help you threw this listen to kutless we fall down casting crowns praise you in this storm and casting crowns courage theses songs will help you when your at your lowest point in life and im praying for you everyday every min every hour you will never be forgotten may god laid down his hands on you to heal your pain and take away all evil and give you peace comfort wisdom and courage in this time of hurt

Dearest Lidiane - We left message with your Atlanta school counselor that we are ready to help support your educational and personal needs in months and years ahead. We hope to get in touch with your guardian family too. We love you and praying with all our hearts, as you go through uncertain recovery. You are very very special and have become God's inspirational gift to so many of us. Please be courageous and strong.
