Accused Shoplifter Threatens to 'Steal More' After Jail Stint
"It's so easy," he said.
James Timothy Fortner visited the Target at 2201 Cobb Pkwy. Southeast Saturday night.
The Talking Rock man picked up some skin tights, socks, a watch and a headlight.
According to a Cobb County criminal warrant, Fortner cut off the price tags, concealed the items in his pants and walked toward the exit, where officials detained him.
Fortner was arrested around 8 p.m. Saturday on a charge of theft by shoplifting. He remains in custody in lieu of $5,000 bond. Authorities wrote in the warrant that Fortner has a "signficant record (of) shoplifting."
And according to officials, he told them he isn't done.
"When I get out of jail," he allegedly said, "I will be back to steal more because it's so easy."
