Arrests Made in Marietta Shooting
Police arrested two suspects Friday in the fatal shooting of a Marietta man.
Dedric Baisden, 19, and Dwight Moore, 19, of Lithonia, were charged with murder, aggravated assault, burglary and armed robbery in the killing of 30-year-old Brandon Brazil, of Marietta, according to a press release from Cobb County police spokesman Mike Bowman.
According to police, the Cobb County Emergency Communications Center dispatched uniform officers from to Sedgefield Apartments to investigate gun shots fired in the area on Jan. 11. When the officers arrived, they located the body of Brazil lying inside his apartment with apparent gunshot wounds.
Baisden was taken into custody without incident in Dekalb County and is now being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit arrested Moore Friday morning. He will be held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
