Battle of the Marietta Barbecues

We want to know what you think of the restaurants we checked out and where you think the best barbecue in Marietta can be found.

I love ribs, and with the warm weather I have been craving them on a daily basis.

We want to know what you think of the restaurants we checked out and where you think the best barbecue in Marietta can be found. So show your support for your favorite barbecue joints in the comments below!

1. Williamson Bros. BBQ never disappoints. The smell alone is enough to make me sigh happily. The baby back ribs were tender. The meat was a treat to bite into. The sweet tangy sauce was generously applied to the ribs. As an added bonus there was hardly any fat on the bones. Williamson Bros. is one of my favorite places to go for ribs. 2. This was my first time trying Shane's Rib Shack. The slow-smoked ribs were tender but had a little more fat than I like to see. The barbecue sauce was on the sweet side, but I enjoyed it. Tell us what you think of Shane's Rib Shack in the comments.

3. The Rib Ranch's baby back ribs are smoked to tender perfection and seasoned to a savory medium of not too sweet, not too tart. These ribs were a home run. Learn more about the Rib Ranch, its food, service and atmosphere with our review here.

4. Maybe I went on an off night, but the Georgia Rib Company left me disappointed. The ribs were tough and chewy. However, as far as I could tell there wasn't a lot of fat. On the bright side, the sauce was excellent and there was plenty of it.

The ribs at Dave Poe's are awesome. Prefer the St. Louis style. YUM.

Yep, gotta say Dave Poe's is the best in Marietta. If you head out to Roswell, Swallow at the Hallow gets my vote.

David Poe's in "Marietta". GC BBQ on Shallowford & Johnson Ferry or Sam's #1 on Lower Roswell & Johnson Ferry also are very good. Shane's doesn't even compete and shouldn't be allowed to call there food bbq.
