Inmate Found Unresponsive, Dead

An inmate at the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility has died and the case is being investigated.

Jail staff found Robin Tracy Harrington unresponsive in his cell at 10:30 p.m. Sunday and began CPR on him, according to WSB-TV

Harrington was taken to Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 11:30 p.m.

Cherokee Man Targeted Kids in 'Lewd' Acts at Cartersville Walmart

A Walmart security worker captured video that authorities say shows a man masturbating in the presence of children and their mother at the Cartersville store.

Employees told Bartow County Sheriff's Office deputies the man, kneeling by a shelf and behind a sign, began masturbating in the Electronics department while "constantly looking at the two juvenile girls and looking over his left shoulder as to check if anyone was walking up behind him," according to the incident report.

Teen Suspected of Killing Mother

Cobb County Police have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed his mother to death in her Marietta home.

According to the report, police were called to the home and immediately arrested a 19-year-old man, who had originally called the police claiming that he had stabbed his mother.

Man Arrested in Girlfriend's Death

A 19-year-old Canton woman has died after being shot five times Sunday morning, and her 21-year-old boyfriend has been charged with her murder.

While no one saw the shooting, investigators learned that the victim's boyfriend, Trevor Nuckles of Canton, had been at the scene of the shooting.

Authorities began a search for Nuckles, and a Canton Police officer found him walking near the River Ridge at Canton, an apartment community located off of Reinhardt College Parkway. Nuckles lived there with Elrod.

Final Deportation Hearing for Cruz Monday

Jesus Cruz, and undocumented Pebblebrook High graduate, went to court Monday for a deportation hearing, which was postponed since May.

Cruz is facing deportation because Cobb County Police arrested him in August 2011 for driving without a license, which he cannot obtain in Georgia as an undocumented resident.

Sheriff's Office: Child Porn Seizure 'Possibly' the Largest in Cherokee

Calling it "possibly the largest seizure of child pornography in Cherokee County to date," sheriff's investigators found more than 100,000 electronic files of child porn on a Woodstock man's computers. Richard Ensley, 37, is in the Cherokee County Detention Center without bond on a charge of sexual exploitation of children.
