Custer Park Gets an Upgrade
The improvements are funded by the $25 million parks referendum voters approved in 2009
Marietta broke ground on $1.8 million in renovations to Custer Park on Monday.
Upgrades will include: two new lighted soccer fields, a concession stand, restrooms, a playground and plaza and a parking lot.
The improvements are funded by the $25 million parks referendum voters approved in 2009 and are expected to be completed late this summer, according to a release.
Custer Park, at 600 Kenneth E. Marcus Way near Cobb Parkway and Fairground Street, is eight and a half acres.
