Doggy Treat Truck Brings Ice Cream, Cookies to Marietta

The colorful, doggy-logo’d truck will be visiting dog parks and other pet friendly locations with treats and fun for dogs and the people who love them.

 

Tails will be wagging across Cobb County Jan. 18 through 22, when the Best Friends Pet Care Treat Truck for Dogs comes to town giving away free ice cream and cookies.

The colorful, doggy-logo’d truck will be visiting dog parks and other pet friendly locations with treats and fun for dogs and the people who love them.

Best Friends, which provides boarding, daycamp and grooming, created the truck to give the community a taste of the fun and caring its staff provides to pet guests at its pet care center at 1087 Johnson Ferry Rd. NE.

The truck will be touring Atlanta, Alpharetta, Dunwoody, Kennesaw, Norcross, Marietta, Roswell, Sandy Springs and Smyrna.

The truck will visit:

Wednesday, Jan. 18
9 to 11 a.m. Best Friends Marietta, 1087 Johnson Ferry Rd. NE
12:30 to 2 p.m. The Avenue (Shopping Center), 4475 Roswell Rd.

Friday, Jan. 20
9 to 10:30 a.m. Swift Cantrell Dog Park, 3140 Old US Highway 41, Kennesaw
1 to 2:30 p.m. National Battlefield Park, 900 Kennesaw Mountain Dr.
3 to 5 p.m. Sweat Mountain Park, 4346 Steinhauer Rd.

Sunday, Jan. 22
9 to 10:30 a.m. East Cobb Park, 3322 Roswell Rd.
11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pets Unlimited, 1275 Powers Ferry Rd. SE

The Treat Truck was launched last summer and visited towns from Boston to Washington D.C. For the next three months it will be traveling the southeast, through the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida.

I never heard of this. But, given that I see so many dogs in Marietta, it is a perfect idea. I hope this catches on. I will have to get my dogs to this.
