Get Out to Fun at the Park

Artillery demonstrations, a veterans' uniform display, history walks, a JROTC drill team performance, nature hikes and project poppy—take a look at the happenings at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

 

Take a look at the May events happening at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park

May 6 and 28: Artillery Demonstrations at 11 a.m. and 12, 2, and 3 p.m.

May 24 through 28: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Veterans' Uniform Display (An Honor Our Veterans' Event).

May 26: Cheatham Hill History Walks; 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Meet at the Cheatham Hill Battlefield area parking lot, near bulletin board.

May 27 through 28: Artillery Demonstrations at 11 a.m. and 12, 2 and 3 p.m. (An Honor Our Veterans' Event).
May 28: Kennesaw Mountain High School's JROTC drill team perform at 1 p.m.

May 30 and 31: Kids' Nature Hikes: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Pre-registration required; sign up by May 25 by phone 770-427-4686.

Project Poppy: Purchase poppies in honor of a veteran for $1. The poppies are the handwork of local school children. All proceeds go to “Wreaths Across America.”
