It's a Green, Green Day in Marietta

Marietta Tree Keepers, and a local soon-to-be Eagle Scout are working to make Marietta green.

This past weekend, two groups of people gathered with one goal in mind, to keep Marietta beautiful.

The Marietta Tree Keepers along with volunteers, cleaned up and mulched, pocket area, Hill Park on Saturday morning. This .012 acre track is owned by the city and was developed by the Tree Keepers through volunteers, grants and donations.

Right up the road, Peake Nasrallah with Boy Scouts of America was hard at work with fellow scouts and supporters to earn his Eagle Scout Ranking. He is a member of Troop 287, chartered by St. Joseph Catholic Church.

You did a great job of documenting the volunteer work that resulted in a good looking pocket park.

Thanks Jim. You all work together, and what you all create really makes Marietta a Beautiful City to work in, live around, and even visit. Keep shining :)
