Marietta Man Dies in Sandy Springs Bicycle Accident
A 52-year-old man was struck from behind while cycling on Roswell Road.
Sandy Springs Police have identified the victim in the fatal accident on Roswell Road as 52-year-old Bryan Morgan from Marietta.
Morgan was was struck from behind by a car on Roswell Road near Hightower Trail, at about 7 a.m., Monday, according to Sandy Springs Police Lt. Steve Rose. He was taken to North Fulton Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A second bicyclist, the victim's 25-year old son, was not injured.
Morgan was hit by a Toyota Camry, driven by a 51-year old woman whose name has not been released. Both the cyclists and car were southbound on Roswell Road. The driver of the car has not been charged however the investigation is still ongoing.
