Marietta Parkway Driver Seriously Injured
The motorist struck a parked tractor-trailer early Saturday morning on an entrance ramp to Interstate 75.
A Tennessee woman suffered serious head injuries early Saturday morning when the car she was driving crashed into a parked tractor-trailer on an entrance ramp to Interstate 75 in Marietta.
The Marietta Police Department said Brandis B. Grier, 30, of South Pittsburg, Tenn., hit the tractor-trailer as she was approaching I-75 on a northbound entrance ramp from North Marietta Parkway around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Police said the driver of the truck, which was parked in the left emergency lane, was uninjured, but Grier was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
According to a statement issued by Marietta Police, alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the accident, and charges against Grier are pending.
