MCS Board Names Dayton Hibbs Associate Superintendent
As Associate Superintendent Hibbs will assist with all facets of Marietta school district management and supervise curriculum and instruction, operations, technology and assessment.
The Board of Education of the City of Marietta has named Dayton Hibbs, the current Assistant Superintendent for Operations, Technology and Assessment, as the new Associate Superintendent for Marietta City Schools.
Hibbs will serve on the Superintendent’s Cabinet and will officially assume the post June 1.
“Dayton brings eight years direct administrative experience at the elementary, middle and high school level, as well as expertise in the areas of start-up Charter School administration, educational technology and curriculum development,” said Emily Lembeck, MCS Superintendent, in a press release.
“As Associate Superintendent he will assist with all facets of school district management, and supervise curriculum and instruction, operations, technology, and assessment.”
Hibbs stated, “I am honored to have the opportunity to serve in this capacity, and I look forward to partnering with all school system personnel to enhance and coordinate school operations, instructional technology and student assessment.”
A graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Hibbs earned a Master of Science in Educational Technology at that institute, and he completed a Certificate Program in Educational Leadership and Supervision with an Emphasis in Curriculum Development at Florida Atlantic University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education at that institute. He is currently pursuing Doctoral studies in K-12 School Administration at Seton Hall University.
