MHS Takes Second Place in Gingerbread Contest

Students from 13 Georgia high schools got involved in a holiday project to help their schools—making gingerbread houses.

 

Marietta High School placed second in the Brasstown Valley Resort High School Gingerbread Contest.

All 13 of the gingerbread houses entered in the competition will remain on display through Jan. 1, and the public is invited to come have a look.

2011 High School Gingerbread Competition

  • First Place: Rabun County High School, Team: Cats in the Kitchen, Entry: Winter’s Majesty
  • Second Place: Marietta High School, Team: Gingers Culinary Construction Co., Entry: Marietta City Square
  • Third Place: Fannin County High School, Team: FCHS, Entry: Gotham City

The winning school was awarded a gift of $500, the second place winners a gift of $300 and the third place school a gift of $200.
