The first Friday evening of March might have been a bit blustery, but that hardly kept a dedicated crowd of art lookers and creators from wandering Marietta Square for the First Friday Art Walk.

The night revealed a Marietta full of some incredible talent as well as an expanding art scene. Seasoned pros mixed with emerging local artists to create a diverse community of artists gathered for an amazing evening.

New to the Art Walk, Dupre's Antique Market opened a new Art Forum for an eclectic mix of media and imaginations. The Art Forum held its grand opening in the middle of February, and the space already draws all types of artists offering something for most everyone’s taste.

The colloboration among artists and Marietta Square merchants create a promise that First Friday Art Walks will be a must-see event at the start of every month through the rest of 2011.
