Kell Band March-A-Thon Benefits MUST and Students

The Kell High School Marching Longhorns will stepoff at North Landing subdivision pool parking lot on Saturday, September 22nd. Their objective is to entertain their community while helping serve their community. This is the 4th year of the Kell March-a-thon. The Longhorns will march through several neighborhoods (North Landing, Jamerson Forest, and Country Meadows) while collecting non-perisable food and lightly worn, clean clothing to donate to MUST Ministries. The area they will cover is 6 miles. The neighborhoods have opened their doors and hearts again this year, with 5 different rest stops along the way for the marchers to stop for rest and snacks. Two of the volunteer band parents will drive behind the band and takeup the donations as the band plays on. The Band also hopes to collect any monetary donations to help support the students competition trips for Jacksonville State Un. and Western Carolina; both in October. The Band is a charitable, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Any donations will go through their KBBA, Kell Band Booster Association, P.O. Box 965338, Marietta, Ga. 30066. Many families come out to walk with the band to encourage the students as they march this long but worthwhile march.
