Shop Marietta, Georgia’s Historic District

The Hampton Inn and Suites Atlanta Galleria hotel highlights retail shopping in Marietta's historic district. Shops and boutiques near the historic downtown square entice shoppers.

Historic Marietta, Georgia, on Atlanta’s northwest side, has a vibrant downtown that is a popular destination for both residents and visitors.  The old square is lined with shops, boutiques, restaurants, museums, and a community theatre.  Downtown’s Grover Park is the venue for festivals, special celebrations, and a popular weekend farmers market.  Shoppers will find a variety of specialty stores that are fun to browse.  Here are some popular shops to explore in the historic district.

Antique lovers delight in this antebellum town.  Several downtown shops specialize in antiques and collectibles.  DuPre’s Antique Market is located at 17 Whitlock Avenue NW.  More than 70 dealers have space here, selling furniture, artwork, clocks, lighting, china, glassware, and jewelry.  At Antiques on the Square, located at 146 S Park Square, shoppers will find antiques, collectibles, vintage records, and old post cards.  Castaway Antiques is located at 85 Church Street, and White Magnolia Antiques is just down the block at 91 Church Street.  Most of these shops are closed on Mondays.

Browse through Limelight, at 67 Church Street NE, for a selection of gifts including candles, frames, art glass, tote bags, jewelry, cards, and books.  The shop carries popular brands like Vera Bradley, Lilly Pulitzer, StoryPeople, and Wee Forest Folk.  Another local gift boutique is Doodlebugz, at 15 W Park Square.  The shop specializes in trendy jewelry, home décor items, bath products, and baby gifts.

Women will find apparel, accessories, shoes, and jewelry at L. Michelle, located at 39 N Park Square.  The shop carries brands such as Lilla P., Ya, MudPie, Nally and Millie, and IT Jeans.  Go Fish Clothing & Jewelry Co. offers unique women’s clothing, jewelry, purses, accessories, and gifts.  Most of the items in the store are handcrafted by indigenous people from developing countries around the world.
