The Georgia State legislature as well as Congress has declared April 18 National and Georgia Lineman Appreciation Day.
Cobb EMC is recognizing the day to honor the hardworking men who safely work around the clock to keep the power on.
We are recognizing all electric linemen for the services they perform in often challenging conditions to keep the power on and protect the public’s safety.
“Electric linemen do not often receive the recognition they deserve,” said Chip Nelson, President and CEO of Cobb EMC. “They work all hours of the day, often in hazardous conditions, going above and beyond to restore power to their communities. Our linemen, as well as linemen across the nation, truly deserve this special day of recognition.”
Cobb EMC invites members to take a moment to thank our linemen for the work they do. Use #ThankaLineman to show your support of the men and women who light our lives.
