Delta Community Credit Union Tees Up "Fore" Children's Miracle Network

Delta Community Credit Union (www.deltacommunitycu.com) presented more than $61,000 to Children’s Miracle Network  to help young patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The credit union raised the funds at its sixth annual Delta Community Tees Up “Fore” Kids Golf Tournament held in September. The funds included a match from Delta Community’s Board of Directors and a $10,000 Miracle Match from CO-OP Financial Services.

As a not-for-profit organization, Delta Community stays involved in the communities it serves by actively supporting programs that benefit its members and their families. “Delta Community has had a long-standing relationship with Children’s Miracle Network and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta,” said Jai Rogers, Vice President of Business & Community Development at Delta Community. “This golf tournament and fundraising effort is something we look forward to each year.”

This year’s event was held at Whitewater Creek Country Club in Fayetteville and featured 112 golfers. As in years past, the money benefits Children’s Miracle Network and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Funds raised in 2013 are earmarked specifically for Cardiac Care Services at Children’s hospitals in Atlanta.

Rogers continued, “We appreciate the support of Delta Community’s employees and business partners from all over the country. Their participation in this tournament allows the credit union to contribute funds and support an organization that helps so many children and their families.”

Delta Community partners with 14 Atlanta-area Chambers of Commerce and participated in 43 major community events in 2012 to contribute more than $400,000 in financial donations to the organizations it supports.
