Ann Rutherford Day Dedication, Martinis & Music, Custer Park, 'The Birds'

Get out to the Holiday Market Bake Sale and Silent Auction to benefit Due West UMC Preschool, Martinis & Music, a tree planting in honor of late actress Ann Rutherford, the Custer Park grand opening and more.

1. It's Martinis & Music on Friday, Nov. 2, at the Marietta-Cobb Museum of Art. Enjoy Martinis, hors d’oeuvres and musical entertainment along with access to all exhibitions from 5:30 to 8:30p.m.

2. The Holiday Market Bake Sale and Silent Auction to benefit Due West UMC Preschool is Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. The event will host more than 45 vendors with hand sewn items, jewelry, pottery, monogramming and more. The Market is located at 3956 Due West Road, Marietta.

3. The public is invited to attend a tree planting and dedication ceremony in honor of late actress Ann Rutherford, who played Scarlett O'Hara's sister, Careen in Gone With the Wind, on what would have been her 95th birthday. The event takes place on Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gone With the Wind Museum.

Guided tours will be offered and a video of many of Rutherford's movie clips will be shown. Light refreshments will be served.

4. "The Birds" will be shown at the Strand Theatre on Nov. 2 at 8 p.m.

5. Custer Park will have its grand opening on Nov. 3 at 10:30 a.m., Custer Park, 600 Kenneth E. Marcus Way.
