Catch a Show: Peter Noone, The Ladies Man, Ain't Misbehavin'

If you've been in the mood to take in a show, this is the perfect weekend for you to spend a night out in Marietta.

1. Peter Noone, the lead singer for Herman's Hermits, will be in concert 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18. The original Herman's Hermits began as an English pop band in the 1960's with hits such as "I'm Into Something Good," "Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" and "Henry the Eighth, I Am." Come out to Jennie T. Anderson Theatre of the Cobb County Civic Center.

2. The Ladies Man by Charles Morey is playing at Theatre in the Square. This farce is freely translated and adapted from the French play Tailleur pour Dames by Georges Feydeau. A husband’s efforts to deny his visit to the Moulin Rouge lead to chaotic compounded mistakes and potentially promiscuous presumptions that are perfectly plausible.

3. Ain't Misbehavin' will be playing at the Strand Theatre Friday at Saturday at 8 p.m. An ensemble of energetic and irresistible performers and the hottest jazz band in town will bring down the house with a musical parade of thirty of Waller’s greatest hits. A joyously creative songwriter of the 1920s and 30s, Fats Waller penned over 400 songs in his career—many of which have entered the classic repertoire of jazz standards that are still being performed today. Ain’t Misbehavin’ pays tribute to his legacy and music, and includes the ever popular songs: “The Jitterbug Waltz,” “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter,” “‘T’Ain’t Nobody’s Biz-ness If I Do,” “Honeysuckle Rose,” “Find Out What They Like,” and “Your Feets Too Big.”
