This will be the first showing of the new movie created by the National Park Service for the Battlefield's Visitor's Center.
It includes recreations of the battles around Kennesaw Mountain and Marietta and is narrated by the well-known actor of more than 100 films, Emmy-winning narrator Peter Coyote.
Concessions will open at 6:30 p.m. with Civil War artifacts on display in the lobby and on the fourth floor. Live period music will be played by local musicians and a performance on the Strand organ by Marietta's own Ron Carter.
At 7:30 p.m. the program will begin with introductions and a presentation of the history of the battlefield by national park historians. The movie will then be shown. The movie is 35 minutes long.Tickets are $8.
