Diverse Music Available for Marietta Music Fans

Cover bands, crooners and headbangers available this week for the discernible Marietta music lover.

With the metropolis of Atlanta to the south and numerous renowned musical venues peppered across the metro area, Marietta's music scene is often lost amid the din. But as any Marietta music lover knows, the local scene here remains vibrant and essential. Marietta Patch is here to help you navigate it.

1. Johnnie MacCracken's Celtic Pub hosts the Leonard Koggins Trio on Friday and Saturday nights. These guys are true musicians and would bring joy to your ears. Come on down to Marietta’s favorite Celtic Pub and enjoy LK3.

2. Poor Otis is essentially local folks entertaining local folks as they play an array of cover tunes that take you back in time. Consider it a Cobb County high school reunion of sorts whenever and wherever they perform. This week, their 1980s coves will be taking over at  Brewsters Grille.

3. Wild Wing Cafe starts Friday with Sierra Nevada and an "Earth Day" dinner, but there are only 60 spots available. Late night brings music by The Journey Tribute Band, which is (if you haven't guessed yet) is a Journey tribute band. Regardless, this is a great band to get some close dancing and cuddle time in with your favorite human. For Saturday, Wild Wing has AC/DC Covers with its hard-driving AC/DC cover tunes to thrash your head or stomp your feet! All shows run from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

4. Welsh music legend Tom Jones performs at the  Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday, April 27. Music includes songs from Jones' last album release Praise & Blame, as well as his old classics. Ticket prices start at $47.

5. The opens up the roof deck to local music greats. For Friday, folk performer Juliana Finch is on the bill, while the Saturday "Brew with a View" offers upbeat tunes from Nine Times Blue. Come chill and enjoy watching Marietta Square as the sun sets.
