Down and Dirty Rodeo Rides into Town

Know Your Numbers Rodeo brings men's health awareness to Jim Miller Park.

The folks from The Down and Dirty Rodeo brought their cowboys to town last Saturday. The rodeo, which took place at , has roots in the Atlanta area and promotes mens health awareness issues such as prevention of  prostate cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure. Down and Dirty also promotes diversity in the rodeo.

Prostate cancer is one of the leading health problems in men and with proper testing can be caught in the early stages. Factors such as genetics and diet can create this health issue. Men should get tested by at least their 40s, and if there is a family history of such, even earlier.

Steer wrestling, bull riding and barrel racing brought together not only local talent, but people from all over to raise funds for both the Georgia Prostate Cancer Coalition and the Comprehensive Men's Health Initiative.
