Downtown Marietta Prepares for Valentine's Day

A pleasant stroll through Historic Downtown Marietta reveals that love and glory and worship is in the air this weekend.

It's a Monday, and Marietta Patch photographer Kim Koch has business to attend to in downtown Marietta. Good thing she had her camera because love was clearly in the air with Marietta's shops decorated for Valentine's Day.

The good feeling continued as she wandered to Zion Baptist Church to visit the heritage museum. Planning to simply snap some photos from outside, the most beautiful sounds fill her ears with praise and worship. She knocks. Members of the congregation invite her in where they were practicing songs for a weekend service.
