Charity Dog Wash for Southeast Pug Rescue

At the event, for a minimum $10 donation per dog, SEPRA volunteers will hand wash dirty dogs, of any breed. Red Bandanna will provide the shampoos, towels and other necessities, and the dogs will be washed in special tubs inside the store. SEPRA will receive 80% of the proceeds of the dog washing.

Also, SEPRA will have foster pugs available for prospective adopters to meet (though no adoptions will actually take place at the event), and SEPRA volunteers will answer questions about the breed and the adoption process. Additionally, SEPRA will have merchandise for sale, such as SEPRA t-shirts, mouse pads, bumper stickers, books and so much more, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to SEPRA to support the rescue of pugs and pug mixes.

According to SEPRA President, Brenda Megel, “We appreciate partners like Red Bandanna that offer venues for us to host fundraisers, since we are in dire need of funds at this time, due to an influx of owner surrenders and overwhelming vet bills. We are also grateful for the opportunity to meet people who might consider serving as a foster home for our pugs in rescue. We actually have a waiting list for pugs to get into foster homes, and, unfortunately, not all dogs survive the wait.”
