Guided Stroll and Tree Identification at Woodlands Garden

Atlanta is the “City in the Forest”, yet many are unfamiliar with our incredible tree diversity and how they benefit us. Join Robby Astrove and Ruby Bock to identify and understand the many interesting trees of Woodlands Garden. We will note identification signatures, ethnobotanical histories, and why urban forests like Woodlands are so important. Woodlands Garden is a seven acre urban oasis in Decatur with toweringtrees and flowering shrubs, laced with meandering trails and dotted with charming sitting areas. 5 person min. Advance registration required. Register ONLINE at www.oakhurstgarden.org. Click on classes. Contact andrea.zoppo@yahoo.com for questions or concerns.
