National Gaming Day

The will join more than 20,000 people in communities across the U.S. for the American Library Association’s fourth annual National Gaming Day on Saturday, Nov. 12.

“Libraries aren’t just about books—we help to foster a learning environment," Jennifer Wells, Youth and Media Services Coordinator at the Central Library, said in a press release.

"If children come in to play games, we know that they might check out the great resources we have while they’re here. We’re looking forward to having fun on National Gaming Day!”

Activities scheduled at the Central Library include board games, video games and scavenger hunts.

The events begin at 11:30 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. The programs are free and appropriate for all ages.
