Friday Art Walk Kicks Off Art in the Park

Marietta is filled with talent from many places, and that talent was out in full force Labor Day weekend.

Marietta's First Friday Art Walk offered crowds an evening of fun Friday, Sept. 2. Galleries, sidewalks and local storefronts hosted art and music.

Three sides of the square were closed off from traffic and were open to local artists as well as artists from Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama and even California.

The last First Friday Art Walk of the season will be in October.

Labor Day weekend was also host to the 25th annual Marietta Art in the Park. Art in the Park is listed as one of the top 20 events by the Southeast Tourism Society.

There were juried exhibits, family fun and a little bit of something for everyone from an eclectic mix of creative talent and design.
