Get Out with Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre

It's Thursday, the weekend is around the corner, and you have no idea what to do. At Marietta Patch, we have compiled the best bets for a great weekend.

Essential Marietta happenings for the weekend:

1. Marietta's brings the fantastic adventures of Peter Pan and Tinker Bell to the stage at this weekend, including their battles with the swashbuckling Captain Hook. This version of Peter Pan features the choreography of Shelley S. Grames, brilliant costuming and an amazing set of Peter's Neverland Forest.

2. The Marietta Tree Keepers sponsors its next tree planting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at , 510 Powder Springs St. Meet at the back of the clubhouse for transportation to the site on the grounds. Dress for the weather, which is expected to be cold.  Tools and gloves included. Donuts, hot chocolate and hot coffee provided.  In case of bad weather, call 770-424-4664 for weather updates and rain date.

3. The 2011 American Craft Council Show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Cobb Galleria. This show presents outstanding works by America's leading craftspeople for purchase by the public and to the trade. Visit www.craftcouncil.org/atlanta for information.

4. The Marietta Hitman play its official home opener as part of the National Developmental League at 3 p.m. Saturday at , 2451 Favor Road. The Hitman take on the Georgia Bandits, who are based in Flowery Branch. Tickets are $8. For information, send an e-mail to mariettahitmenpr@gmail.com.

5. Bethenny Frankel of Housewives of New York fame brings "Skinny Girl Night Out" show to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre at 8 p.m. Friday. Billed as a "Conversation with Bethenny Frankel," the television star and author offers a candid take on life, dieting and parenthood.
