Get Out....to a Chattahoochee River Adventure?

It's Friday, the weekend is here, and you have no idea what to do. Marietta Patch has the best bets for a great weekend.

1. Dance to a Jimmy Buffet Tribute Show with Jeff Pike. This energetic, outrageously fun Buffett band will whisk you away to a beach where it’s 5 o’clock somewhere - margarita time! Ages 18+. Friday at 8 p.m. $12 in advance. $15 day of event. Earl Smith Strand Theatre, 117 North Park Square. More info: 770-291-0080.

2. Free Home Depot kids workshop. The first Saturday of the month at most Home Depot stores nationwide from 9 a.m. – noon. They’re geared toward kids ages 5-12 as a way to teach do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, but even toddlers can get in on the fun with a little help from mom or dad. On their first visit, kids are given their very own orange apron (similar to the ones the Home Depot folks wear). Bring the apron back each time and collect pins showcasing that week’s project. An award certificate is presented to each child along with the pin upon completion of that day’s project.
