Join Harry’s Farmers Market and Whole Foods Market in its annual celebration of Parmigiano Reggiano.

Stores will attempt to “crack” the Guinness World Records title for the number of wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano simultaneously cracked in its stores across the United States, U.K. and Canada.

Stores will be cracking 500 wheels simultaneously, and shoppers are invited to all participating stores to taste and cheer on their cheese mongers as they crack open an 85-pound wheel using traditional tools and methods.

Harry's Farmers Market at 70 Powers Ferry Rd., Marietta will participate in the March 9th event. Festivities start at noon on Saturday, March 9, and the attempt for the Guinness World Records Title will take place at 3 p.m.

At the Harry’s Farmer Market Marietta store, events will include a Taste of Italy cooking demo.

During the crack-off event, shoppers can share their love of Parmigiano Reggiano for a chance to win big with an Instagram contest. Cheese lovers attending the event are invited to share a photo tagged with #parmcrack on March 9, for a chance to win a $250 gift card to Whole Foods Market.

Whole Foods Market previously set the record in 2008.

Good grief, if the rifle can kill someone, why on earth would you give it to a five-year-old? ThisRead More one just boggles my mind. I hope that even the NRA has a problem with this.

This is a fine example of freedom being too much to handle for some folks. The idiots who gave theRead More kid the gun should be jailed. Its obvious that a 5 year old should neither posses, nor handle a firearm period. Having said that I am a full supporter of the Second Amendment and the NRA. However we cannot measure the validity of the right to bear arms by using these idiot parents as a case study.
