Local Consignment Sales Save Families Money

With rising gas prices and other factors driving up costs, money-saving ideas such as consignment sales are especially welcomed.

Move over consignment sale aficionados! With the Great Recession, more and more families looking to stretch a buck have found great treasures and clothes as well in recent years.

Two major sales happened over the past weekend. The First United Methodist Church of Marietta held its bi-annual Little Lambs Closet, with its second of the year coming in September. At the edge of town at Jim Miller Park was another huge consignment sale with more than 600 sellers.

In case you missed those sales, another huge sale, the All 4 Kids Consignment Sale is in the works for this week at Mt. Paran North Church of God, 1700 Allgood Road, with more than 400 sellers. The sale runs from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. FridayΒ Β and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday when many items are 1/2 off.Β
