Music Scene: Freaky and Fantastic

Marietta will be filled with zombies doing the pub crawls this weekend. Bring rocks and save your brains.

With the metropolis of Atlanta to the south and numerous renowned musical venues peppered across the metro area, Marietta's music scene is often lost amid the din. But as any music lover knows, the local scene here remains vibrant and essential. Marietta Patch is here to help you navigate it.

1. Hamby's Clocktower Tavern is bringing the party with the Luckie Street Band hosting the music for a night of costumed friends and fiends with dancing tunes on Saturday night. Thursday nights are acoustic open mic nights.

2. Darwin's Burgers and Blues celebrates the Halloween Weekend with their Grand Opening Fest. If you love live music and blues, delicious food and great company, come on out and dance the nights away. Thursday: Darwin's Blues Jam. Friday: Men In Blues, $5 cover. Saturday: Grand Opening Fest, $10 cover: Free Texas Holdem Poker at 1 p.m., Homer Matsunaga at 5 p.m., Katie Martin at 6 p.m., Melanie Denard at 7 p.m., Truett Lollis at 8 p.m. and Little G Weevil featuring John McKnight at 9 p.m.

3. Johnnie MacCracken's will be crawling with zombie's and sexy ghouls on Friday and Saturday night. Music is hosted in an acoustic setting throughout the week, with Atomic Boogie rocking the Monster Mash on Saturday. Didn't get enough spooky for the weekend? Come out and enjoy some brains...I mean beers at the Zombie Bar on Monday to celebrate Halloween.

4. has live music throughout the week, and this Saturday Marty Manous will be performing for costumed freaks, geeks and rockers in attendance.

5. Brewster's Neighborhood Bar and Grille has Sinner Sanctum to rock their Halloween Festivites. Come on out and bat around on the dance floor with their hard hitting style of rock.
