Marietta Siblings Triumph in Pokémon Regional Championships

Hundreds of Pokémon Trading Card Game and video game players competed at the 2011 Pokémon Autumn Regional Championships on Nov. 12 and Nov. 13.

After a long weekend of head-to-head Pokémon video game battles, siblings Marc and Lauren Metcalf of finished victoriously. Marc, 15, was crowned regional champion after finishing first place, and Lauren, 12, clenched second place.

Hundreds of Pokémon Trading Card Game and video game players competed at the 2011 Pokémon Autumn Regional Championships on Nov. 12 and Nov. 13 at the Royal Plaza in Lake Buena Vista, FL.

Lake Buena Vista was one of only seven cities in the United States to host the first-ever Pokémon Regional Championships to include both the Pokémon Trading Card and video game events in the same city and on the same weekend.

By combining both types of play, the Lake Buena Vista Regional Championship created a complete Pokémon experience that showcased the strategy, skill and fun enjoyed by tens of thousands of competitive Pokémon Trading Card and video players around the world.

The Pokémon community of fans, family and friends were on-hand cheering their Pokémon Trading Crd and video game trainers as they battled to become Pokémon Regional Champion and win travel and accommodations to the Pokémon U.S. National Championships in Indianapolis next summer.
