Marietta's 10th Annual Career Expo
Marietta brought together potential employers and employees at Cobb Civic Center.
The 10th annual Marietta/Cobb Career Expo was put together with the help of sponsors:
- Marietta Ward 5 City Councilman Anthony Coleman
- City of Marietta
- Cobb/Cherokee Career Center
- Cobb County Government
- CobbWorks, Inc.
- Georgia Department of Labor
People lined up two hours prior to the doors opening and wrapped around two sides of the Cobb Civic Center. Almost 1,000 people looking for jobs attended.
The one thing that resonated the loudest in talking with people is the need to bring jobs back to U.S. soil. One man told how the fact that we spend with our wallets created the dilemma we are in over the last few decades.
