Murray and Etta Open a Restaurant at Marietta Museum of History

Marietta's toddlers and families come out for a "Mice Tour," an interactive story time at the Marietta Museum of History.

A pair of history-loving mice lead an interactive, story-ladened tour at The Marietta Museum of History every month for children from ages 3 to 5. These two mice, Murray and Etta, share ways of the past and instill a love of all things old in the hearts of a new generation.

For the recent "Murray and Etta Open a Restaurant," Anna Monroe and Amy Reed worked with the mice to create a very special story time for local youngsters. Reed noted that the tours also instill at a young age an appreciation of the past, but a good early lesson about how to act appropriately on school field trips.

Local artist Marilyn Rose created the images of the museum mascots Murray and Etta. And the children love the mice as they are lead from station to station. For information and schedules, visit the Mice Tours site.
