Staff Report

Temple Kol Emeth, a reform congregation in East Cobb County, will be hosting a candlelight vigil on July 1, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. for the three Israeli teens that were kidnapped and found dead on June 30 in the West Bank. The event will take place in Temple Kol Emeth located at 1415 Old Canton Road in Marietta.

The three teens -- Eyal Yifrach, 19; Gilad Shaar, 16; and Naftali Frenkel, a 16-year-old dual U.S.-Israeli citizen -- disappeared late June 12 or early June 13 from the Jewish settlement of Gush Etzion in the West Bank, according to the Israeli military.

Temple Kol Emeth invites the public to mourn the lives of these three extraordinary teens whose disappearance have made national and international headlines. The evening will be led by Rabbi Steven Lebow and Rabbi Erin Boxt will include a candle lighting, songs, and readings for peace.

For more information about the event, please contact Denise Jacobs, Senior Temple Administrator at Temple Kol Emeth, at 770-973-3533.
