The Right Thanksgiving Wine

Marietta Wine Market holds regular wine tastings benefiting charities.

The holiday season is upon us, and metro Atlanta area wine and spirits enthusiasts are gearing up for tastings and special dinners, Midtown Patch reports.

The  is getting into the Thanksgiving spirit by helping cooks figure out the best wines to pair with their turkeys. From  5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 23, the market offers “No Turkeys Here.” For a $10 charity donation guests may sample red and white  wines that pair well with Thanksgiving meals. There will be a drawing for a free turkey.

A wine tasting is also scheduled Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. The theme is Wilson Creek Winery. Wine tastings are scheduled regularly at the Marietta Wine Market. The Saturday, Nov. 5 wine tasting theme is Joel Gott & C.S.M., Saturday, Nov. 12 is Villa Maria Estate and Saturday, Nov. 19 is Banshee Wines. Saturday tastings run 2 to 4 p.m.
