Christmas at NorthStar Church Arts & Craft Show

Seventh Annual City of Hiram Christmas Tree Lighting
When: 6 p.m. Friday
Where: City of Hiram, 342 Oak St., Hiram | Get directions
Why Go: Santa Claus will be there. Additionally, there will be live music, train rides for kids as well as horse and carriage rides. The lighting of the Christmas tree will take place at 8 p.m.

The Nutcracker
When: 7 p.m. Friday; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday; and 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday

Why Go: The Georgia Ballet's interpretation of this timeless classic will feature dancing snowflakes, giant toy soldiers, a growing Christmas tree and more.

A Day with Santa
When: 1 p.m. Saturday

Why Go: Get in the holiday spirit with a free parade, live reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh and a real snow playground. Festivities conclude with a Christmas tree lighting program at 5:30 p.m.

Powder Springs Christmas Tree Lighting
When: 5 p.m. Saturday

Why Go: In addition to the Christmas tree lighting, sip on some good hot chocolate and get your picture taken with Santa.

Holiday Concert
When: 7 p.m. Saturday

Why Go: It's the first holiday concert that the 116th Army Band will present at the center.

Homes for the Holidays
