Live Nativity Downtown Dallas

When: 6:30 p.m. Saturday

Where: In addition to a live nativity scene, there will be marshmallows, hot cider, live entertainment, and horse and carriage rides.

It's a Wonderful Life

When: 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday

Why Go: It just wouldn't be Christmas without George Bailey.

SUNDAY

A Hanukkah Fun Day

When: 10:30 a.m. Sunday

Where: Chabad Jewish Center, 4255 Wade Green Rd. NW, Kennesaw | Get directions

Why Go: There will be all sorts of activities for the kids: candle dipping, Hanukkah snow globe making, doughnut decorating, and other arts and crafts. After the children's program in Kennesaw, celebrate the Miracle of Lights in Woodstock.

Price: $5 per child. Pay at the door. Organizers will also collect brand new toys, cash and gift cards to send to Hurricane Sandy victims in Oceanside, N.Y.

Empty Bowl Brunch

When: 11 a.m. Sunday

Where: The Art Place, 3330 Sandy Plains Rd., Marietta | Get directions

Why Go: Proceeds from the event are donated to local charities.

This is a fine example of freedom being too much to handle for some folks. The idiots who gave theRead More kid the gun should be jailed. Its obvious that a 5 year old should neither posses, nor handle a firearm period. Having said that I am a full supporter of the Second Amendment and the NRA. However we cannot measure the validity of the right to bear arms by using these idiot parents as a case study.
