Today in History: No Sunday Dancing

August 8, 1925

Gov. Clifford Walker signed an act prohibiting dancing on Sunday at any public place in Georgia. Any owner allowing dancing in a public place could be charged with a misdemeanor, according to Atlanta History Center and Georgia Info, The University of Georgia.
