Tree Falls on Car

A much anticipated rain moved through Thursday night and early Friday, washing away .

Minor damage from Thursday night's storm scattered Marietta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and WSB report. Trees were blown down and one even fell on a car in the Hickory Walk neighborhood off Whitlock Avenue.

The owner of the vehicle was in his house when the tree fell on his car, WSB reports. There were no injuries.

Another tree fell at Powder Springs and Marietta Parkway, WSB says.

The overnight rainfall through 5 a.m. totaled 0.17 inch in Marietta, the AJC says.
