Video: Day of Family Fun, Literacy

Hundreds came to Marietta Square on Saturday to learn, read and have a good time at the annual Marietta Reads festival.

, the citywide effort to foster reading and literacy in the community, celebrated its 9th anniversary Saturday in Glover Park.

The annual Marietta Reads! had a book fair, book costume characters, celebrity readers and entertainment including the Georgia Force Players and Cheerleaders, MCS Elementary Chorus and other school drama and dance performances.

Around 4,000 books were given away at the event.
