the story of Ren and his mother and their move from Chicago to a
town. Ren is ready for the adjustment to a new school and new
friends, but what
he’s totally unprepared for is the town’s ban on dancing. In the name of “safety” and
town’s preacher, Rev.
Shaw Moore, is the voice of control, a control which he cannot maintain in his own home. When the reverend’s rebellious daughter, Ariel, sets her sights on Ren, it sets off a firestorm of conflict that forces everyone in town through a crucible of struggle and self-examination. The heartfelt story that emerges is of a father longing for a lost son, and a son aching for the father who walked out on him.
Footloose the Musical will be directed by Earl Reece and Assistant Director Catherine Rhodes with musical direction by Harris Wheeler. The musical stars Zach Seabaugh as Ren McCormack, Kelsey Brodeur as Ariel Moore, Marc Patterson as Reverend Shaw Moore, Chad Yochum as Chuck Cranston, Tierra Porter as Rusty, and Joe Arnotti as Willard.
