8th Annual Juneteenth Celebration
The Cobb County branch of the NAACP is hosting the 8th annual Marietta Juneteenth Celebration at historic Marietta Square on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 10am to 7 pm. The Juneteenth Celebration is a cultural festival that celebrates Juneteenth, the name given to the date June 19, 1865 commemorating the date that the last United States slaves were freed.
The celebration features music, entertainment, ethnic foods, vendors, moonwalks, history, giveaways, voter registration and fun activities for the whole family.
