Marietta Square Artists Market

Marietta GA –The Branding Project is ready to start the Spring Market Season with a double whammy for artisans to sell their goods on the Historic Marietta Square. Considered “The Square” to natives, the market will be on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 9AM-1PM starting April and ending in November. This will be located on Mill Street from Church Street to the railroad tracks during the delightful Farmers Market on the opposite side of the street. The public may enjoy paintings, jewelry, fiber art or photography from various local and regional artists. This is a free event with prices on goods set by the artists themselves.

The Artists Market is a juried event held in conjunction with the Marietta Square Farmers Market. The event is sponsored by The Branding Project, which was created to raise revenue to brand and promote Historic Downtown Marietta, throughout the city of Atlanta and beyond. For the patron of the arts this is a great way to discover a new artist and see what the creative minds are up to. Since the early 1830’s, The Marietta Square has served as a central location with various shops, restaurants & bakeries, churches and Cobb County Courts, all within walking distance. The railroad tracks served as the main people and goods transportation that travel to the Brumby Chair Factory a few blocks down that now are converted residential lofts. It has been backdrops to various movies, TV, plays and musical events that are held in its venues as well as outside. The merchants are very well aware of the honor it is to be on the hallowed ground giving it the title of being one of the most thriving in the South. For more information: Historic Downtown Marietta
