Sparrows stars Mary Pickford as Molly, a teenage girl forced to live and take care of unwanted and lost children on a “baby farm” in Louisiana who are mistreated by the mean caretaker, Mr. Grimes. When Mr. Grimes gets involved in the kidnapping of a child from a wealthy family and the police are closing in he decides to throw the child into the quicksand that surrounds the farm. Molly hears of this and she and the children escape through the alligator invested swamp. The children steal the show and it is a very emotionally charged film which critics have said was Mary Pickford’s best!
Tickets are $8 for adults and $7 for seniors and students.
