Symphony on the Square is an all volunteer, community orchestra made up of instrumentalists from the
Marietta area. It began only one year ago, April of 2010, and has quickly developed into a strong, competent
orchestra having already given two concerts, both well attended by the community. The concert season
begins the beginning of each year and has two scheduled concerts, one in the spring (May) and a holiday
concert in December. Other concerts may be scheduled. Openings are currently available for violins, viola,
and string bass players. Membership in the orchestra is either by invitation or audition. During the rehearsal
season, rehearsals are held in the sanctuary on Monday nights at Marietta First Baptist Church. Symphony on
the Square, Inc., is a charitable organization (501c3). For more information about the orchestra, contact the
conductor, Dr. Paul Hill, or visit the website: www.symphonyonthesquare.org.
