This is part of Marietta’s celebration of the Civil War’s Great Locomotive Chase that began in Marietta with Union spies spending the night at the Kennesaw house.
Buster Keaton did extensive research in producing this film to include site visits to Marietta and Kennesaw. It is considered one of the greatest films ever made.
These two screenings will also feature Harper Harris with the Southern Museum of Locomotive and Civil War History introducing the film, a book signing, and an encampment by civil war re-inactors on the Marietta square and other surprises.
Organ pre-show featuring Strand organist Ron Carter will begin at 7:30pm.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $7 for seniors, students, and military.
